The Holy Church Of Wrongthink (Holy COW) has been established as a religious community for members of Wrongthink.org to participate in as they wish.
Here, the founder of Wrongthink.org, Riley, will share some of his spiritual beliefs.
Members do not need to share these beliefs. We welcome members of any pre-existing faith to explore the thoughts presented by the Holy COW.
Additionally, some public notices will be published here under ecclesiastical law.
Beliefs of the Holy COW
We are a spiritual church with pantheist, atheist and scientific beliefs.
What does that mean?
Pantheist and spiritual because we view the universe and nature as identical to divinity, meaning God is the universe itself – the cosmic energy in every man, woman and child and in every rock, grain of sand or speck of dust.
We see the divine spark within everything.
Atheist because we do not worship any external “deities” or “gods”.
(apart from cows, which we revere for their sacred, delicious meat) 😉
When we say God, we mean the universe and nature as a whole; the cosmic energy; the rules and forces of nature that shape us into being, without which we might cease to exist in our current forms or cease to exist entirely.
We seek to understand the nature of the universe, and as such we are a church that respects and admires good science; however, we are not affiliated with Scientology or its beliefs and we do not consider scientific studies bought and paid for by billionaire monopolies with the objective of promoting their products to be in keeping with “good science” or good faith.
Because we are curious and respect good science, our beliefs may change over time as we discover new things and new ways of thinking.
That said, here are some of the Holy COW’s current beliefs and principles:
- Every thing in the universe is connected to every other thing via a shared sea or field of energy that we all live within.
- Living, conscious, sentient beings, can perceive these energetic connections to varying degrees (some more than others).
- This connection may prove even stronger for beings / people who share experiences with each other: family, friends, lovers, pets, etc.
- Perhaps stronger still when highly emotional. Riley will share two examples in a linked document for those who wish to read further.
- Larger living things may be made up of smaller living things.
- E.G. our guts are host to many species of bacteria, without which we’d die. Bacteria, like us, can perceive and manipulate energy to a degree.
- Single-celled organisms evolved to create multi-cellular life like us.
- Who knows how infinitely small “life” (which we’ll define as organisms able to manipulate energy in some way) can get?
- Likewise, who knows how infinitely large life can get? The Holy COW considers planet Earth, our solar system, our Milky Way galaxy and our universe as a whole to be an organized living system that could be called an organism.
- The microscopic systems may be similar in nature to the stellar systems – E.G. we see the planets in our solar system as being negatively charged objects spinning around a positively charged sun, similar to how negatively charged electrons are described to spin around the positively charged nucleus of an atom (containing protons & neutrons).
- Thus we see ourselves as tiny (but important) parts of a greater whole and our thoughts and actions affect the greater whole.
Public Notices from the Holy COW
Public Notice of Right to Travel
The founder of Wrongthink.org, who from time to time goes by the pen name Riley or Riley Fox, and who from time to time goes by the name and surname bestowed upon him by his mother and father, which is Justin Lyle of the Westacott family / household, hereby gives public notice that he asserts his natural right to travel, by any means, including by automobile, and in any location, including on the public roadways. Riley gives public notice that a Subaru Impreza RS Sedan (manufactured in 2008), by which he may travel, has been registered with the Holy Church Of Wrongthink using front and rear plates carrying the registration code “WR0NG” and the registering authority identifier “HCOW” (representing the Holy Church of Wrongthink).
Riley further asserts that any person who attempts to prevent Riley from exercising his right to travel by any means shall be liable to pay Riley fair compensation for any time and freedom(s) taken away from Riley without his fully informed consent.
